Adopting the performer name of Jeremiah Cole (My first and middle name) was a simple choice to differentiate my personal entity from the stage identity as some performers choose to do. Typically for marketing and early brand exposure for standing out in memorable recognition for fans.
Although most of our music heard publicly is covers, I have also written some original songs. I would like to do some professional recording sometime soon. The problem for me is procrastination!
I seem so busy in my daily life.
I just haven't pushed for my focus to be on my original work!
I imagine many artists have the same issue!
It is probably one of the worse excuses to use ~ being too busy!
But we tend to use the excuse throughout our lives ~ we ~ as in I'm not the only one!
We all overuse this excuse ~ of being too busy!
What do I do that keeps me so busy you might ask?

JEREMIAH COLE EPLER ~ THE MAN WITHOUT THE MUSIC
A BEHIND THE SCENES LOOK AT DAILY LIFE
What do I do that keeps me so busy you might ask?
Well, 1st and foremost, I have a family that keeps me dedicated to their needs. My wife, 7 kids.
Our older children are off living in the world as they should. We have 2 boys both 8 years old that we adopted in 2022, both handicap and special needs. We also have a 22-year-old daughter, also special needs handicap ~ adopted by my wife prior to our marriage in 2020.
It is defiantly a team effort between my wife Crenna and myself, taking care of these three kids!
2nd. We have a small farm that is not profitable by any means ~ We run a rescue for wildlife, farm animals, and exotic animals!
We basically have a decent zoo of animals at any given point in the year!
My wife Crenna, is the founder and owner of Wildlife's 2nd chance rescue / rehab, at our home in Bellevue Michigan. Crenna cares for local baby fawns, racoons, opossum's, squirls, foxes, turtles and whatever else wildlife that might find itself being in need of temporary care!
Just so we are clear here ~ Crenna cares for the animals & I'm the help!
Between chores, building enclosures, and all other task needed for the animal care ~ My wife and I also work as a team to accomplish whatever is required.
Our farm animals range from a jersey cow, a miniature dexter bull, a horse, a mini horse, a mini donkey, 4 goats, some 60 chickens plus or minus, probably 30 ducks, and 10 geese, pigeons and doves, a few rabbits, oh yeah and like 20 pot belly/ Julianna pigs that come in as a rescue needing care and a home.
Our Exotic animals on site consist of two large Sakoda tortoises, an Iguana, a cockatoo, a parrot, a cage full of parakeets.
I'm telling ya ~ We have a small zoo!
3rd, We bought our house and 10 acers here in Bellevue May of 2020. We gained access to move on site in July under the closing agreements.
In August of 2020 Crenna and I got married out here on the property after we did a whirlwind clean up job on the neglected property ~ and we have been under a total remodel inside and outside by our own labor and skill and paying out of pocket vs financing the project ever since we took ownership. we are almost finished as we head into 2025!
4th, To pay for all of this, I work approximately 65 hours per week at my day job! Monday through Friday ~ I wake up at 3:00 AM, leave the house around 3:15 and commute 45 minutes to Portage / Kalamazoo and get in my semi-truck and then drive 3.5 hours up north to Traverse City Michigan. Typically, I arrive around 8:00 AM and start making deliveries! Approximately 15 to 20 deliveries and pick-ups and I try to get back to Portage / Kalamazoo around 5:30 PM and by the time I drop my trailer at the shop and re-fuel ~ I'm leaving work around 6:15 and 45 min commute back home by around 7:00 PM
Then approximately 45 minutes of chores mentioned above ~ and I'm walking in the house to eat, shower and go to bed hopefully around 9:00 PM So I can get about do it again the next day!
I am grateful for the weekend when it comes around. I do not have to work weekends ~ At my day job that is! But let me tell you, When Monday morning rolls around ~ I'm ready to go back to work and relax in my semi-truck if you know what i mean! I physically work harder on the weekends at the home front than the work i do at my job!
So, there ya go ~ A look into the life of a working musician!
