Joshua Spear had been introduced to us by our Lead guitarist Dustin Boggess. It was in fact Joshua's house that had the tragic explosion that led to the unexpected death of Dustin Boggess aka DBO!

Along with the tragic loss of our guitarist Dustin, Dustin's best friend Joshua Spear with other members of the house suffered medical trauma as well as a total loss of house and belongings. Joshua and his girlfriend Kelly came out to the Epler family farm ~ A sanctuary for animals in need of rescue, care and a home. The Epler farm Sanctuary had become a rescue sanctuary for humans as well over the years. Josh and Kelly came out to stay in a camper set up for temporary living so that they could get back on their feet financially as well as acquiring new  ~ well ~ everything! 

Shortly after moving on to the farm, Joshua would astound the RebelSlave band members with his talent of playing guitar and singing with a very large number of cover songs that he could perform as well as some original's that he wrote himself! 

It was without question that Joshua offered a lot of potential growth to the Band RebelSlave. With the loss of Dustin ~ and the healing that we all needed from that tragedy ~ Joshua Spear was invited to join the band!

June 2021,

Joshau did indeed join the band and became a great asset in bringing his talents as another lead vocalist and guitar stumming abilities.

We were able to play a gig at the 3 Rivers Moose Lodge. We did a RebelSlave photo shoot as we were pushing for more possibilities in covering more gigs. We did a Halloween party gig out in the sticks north of Olivet at the end of October.

The cold months set in at the beginning of November 2021 and Joshua and his girlfriend Kelly were pushed into moving back into the city of Marshall finding lodging in warmer lodging!

We seen Joshua one last time as he came out to get his mail and eat thanksgiving dinner with us. 

That was the last time Joshua Spear has visited. 

We have herd he's still around the Marshall area but have lost contact with him! 

We remember everything he brought with him to the band, and we are glad he was a part of our history!

Wherever Joshua is now ~ We wish him success in all his endeavors and truly miss him at our Thursday night music therapy sessions!
